15,000 holiday meals for vulnerable communities

Dec. 16, 2021, Toronto, Ont. – On Thursday, December 16, Chief James Ramer attended the Kitchen24 event where 15,000 holiday meals were prepared and donated to vulnerable communities.

To support the City’s efforts in combating food insecurity, Kitchen24, the Toronto Police Service and Greenwin Corp. have partnered together to donate the meals to organizations such as Second Harvest, Food Banks, Tent City and Community Centres to distribute among clients.

Police Chief James Ramer joined Steve Kidron, owner of Kitchen24, Kevin Green, Greenwin’s President and CEO, MPP Tom Rakocevic, Councillor Anthony Perruzza, Neighbourhood Officers from Divisions 13 and 31, Emergency Task Force Officers, Auxiliary Officers, Community Police Liaison Committee members, as well as youth and community volunteers.
